Timeline Counselling and Psychotherapy
Andreea Gligore, MBACP
Integrative-Relational Counsellor

I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor offering short and long term therapy to individuals seeking to explore and understand the emotional challenges they are experiencing. Being a BACP Accredited Counsellor means I am meeting the higher professional standards to work with you.
I started my counselling training in 2015 and completed a one year Introduction to Counselling and Counselling Skills at Birkbeck University, followed by a three year BA(Hons) Integrative-Relational Counselling at Kingston College (validated by Middlesex University).

I have been offering counselling services since 2017. During this time I worked as volunteer counsellor for a bereavement counselling service where I received additional training for working with traumatic bereavement, for the former IAPT, currently known as NHS Talking Therapies for just under four years, and my own private practice.

Additionally, I have been collaborating with Employee Assistance Programme providers (EAP) and offered time-limited counselling on an affiliate/contractor basis.

I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to: relationship dynamics, role and life stage transitions, bereavement, life altering events, loneliness and isolation, anxiety, depression and loss of meaning in life.
Therapy provides an opportunity to reflect on what happened, what it means to you and in what ways it might still play a part on what you are experiencing now. With patience and curiosity, we will work towards gaining more clarity and understanding about where you find yourself and start identifying what you would like going forward.

My work is informed by both psychodynamic and humanistic theories as to create a psychotherapeutic space where your issues, be they from early years or the present moment, can be unpacked and integrated in a holistic and life enhancing way.

As an integrative counsellor, I use several approaches to best meet your individual needs. I aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment so as to encourage you to express your feelings and thoughts in a way that feels authentic to you.

As a relational counsellor, I understand that most emotional injuries happen in relationships – which is why the therapeutic relationship between you and I can become the vehicle for exploring past hurt and also find new ways to integrate these experiences in a way that supports and benefits you.

I will work at your own pace, where I don’t believe change can be forced but that once you look honestly and compassionately at where you are at, it invariably follows.
